HEADINGTON Conservative Club confirmed runners-up spot in Section 2 of the Johnsons Buildbase Oxford League despite losing 4-1 at home to Gladiators B, writes PETE EWINS.
The Johnson family shone, with Grant (2,990), Mark (2,120) and dad Reg (2,230) taking the opening three games.
Ian Wilson pulled one back before Neil Cunliffe sealed Gladiators’ victory with a win over Graham Mildenhall.
Champions Gladiators A signed off with a 4-1 home win over Dolphin.
Dave Jarman, Bert Lovegrove, Keith Gardner and Frank Cox starred for Gladiators, while Mellissa Standbridge captured Dolphin’s point.
