FRILFORD Heath held on for two tight victories to end The Oxfordshire’s 100 per cent start to the Shaw Gibbs Oxfordshire Foursomes League.

Joe Richardson and Dave Breslin led the way by taking the opening match 2 & 1 against Alex Stubbs and Adam Riddle in Section 1.

The second match was also won by the home side, but went down the final hole.

Ashley Walton and Peter Clements held a slender lead on the tee and took the 18th to beat Peter Green and Jordan Garnish by two holes.

It turned out to be a crucial victory, as The Oxfordshire hit back in the final match to avoid a whitewash.

Andy Stubbs and George Abbott cruised to a 5 & 4 win over Elliott Bradley and Harry Collins.

Elsewhere, Tadmarton Heath became the first team through to the KO Cup quarter-finals with a 2-1 win at Burford.
