OXFORDSHIRE eased their Premier Division relegation worries with a thumping 31-8 victory over Surrey in their BDO Inter-Counties Championship match at Bicester.
Inspired by their ladies, who won 11 of their 12 ties, Oxon moved out of the drop zone and now occupy seventh spot.
The Ladies B completed a whitewash, led by Shirley Castle.
Surrey took their first point when they won the first Men’s B game, but Oxon stormed back to win 10-2, inspired Jon Jukes.
So Oxon led 16-2, and the Ladies A continued the surge.
There was a notable success for Sandra Cox, who defeated England international Apylee Jones.
In the Men’s A match, Jukes lost 4-0, despite producing Oxon’s best average.
But Oxfordshire still went on to win 7-5 to give the hosts a clean sweep.
