ABINGDON United had the better of a 0-0 draw at home to second-placed Hungerford Town in Division 1 South & West of the Evo-Stik Southern League.
The hosts had to weather some early pressure and Hungerford were left to rue their poor finishing in the first half.
But Abingdon had the best two opportunities of the second period.
Firstly, Carl Self fired past a post when well placed.
Then, Lawrence Prior collected an errant back pass and shot wide when he had only the keeper to beat.
Abingdon visit champions Poole Town tomorrow.
