Abingdon United’s sorry run continued as they went down to their fifth Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 South & West defeat in a row on Saturday in a 2-1 reverse at Mangotsfield United.
Jordan Walker’s strike proved the difference between the two sides.
Despite Abingdon dominating early on, it was Mangotsfield who went ahead when Kyle Tooze fired past James Foster in the Abingdon goal.
However, Abingdon levelled. The visitors failed to deal with a free-kick and Aaron Woodley poked the ball past Kevin Sawyer from ten yards.
Carl Evans went close to making it 2-1 when he chipped over Sawyer only for it to land on top of the net.
After the break, Evans headed over from six yards, before Foster palmed away a Nick Dunn strike.
Mangotsfield got their winner when Walker unleashed an unstoppable strike into the top corner past Foster.
Abingdon tried to get an equaliser, but the hosts held on.
