Season’s previews for Oxfordshire’s Formula 1 teams

NEW Marussia driver Max Chilton has no intention of following the rest of Formula 1’s ‘Brit Pack’ and quitting England for Monaco should he make his name in the sport.

Chilton makes his debut for Banbury’s Marussia in Australia tomorrow, joining Lewis Hamilton, Jenson Button and Paul Di Resta on the grid.

The trio have all now made their home in Monaco, but Chilton, intends to stay true to his Reigate roots where he was born and raised rather than follow the jetset.

Asked as to the possibility of joining Hamilton, Button and Di Resta in Monaco, Chilton replied: “That’s when you’re a high-rolling F1 driver.

“I want to try and stay in England forever. That’s my plan. I love Reigate.”

Chilton will be partnered by Luiz Razia as Marussia seek to build on last year’s 11th place in the team standings.
