HANNAH England decided against putting her name forward to compete in the European Indoor Championships.
The 25-year-old Oxford City athlete finished sixth in the 1,500m at the British Athletics Grand Prix in Birmingham on Sunday, which was her first appearance of 2013.
Afterwards she said she was considering asking for a place to compete for Britain at next month’s championships in Gothenburg, Sweden.
But her name was absent from the GB team list announced on Tuesday.
England said: “I just decided to focus on training.
“I’ve been suffering from a cold for the past few weeks so need to get on top of that.”
England’s main focus this year will be August’s World Championships in Moscow where she is the reigning silver medallist.
