Charlie Brough’s hat-trick helped Riverside to a 4-1 win at home to Oxfordshire Senior League Premier Division rivals Freeland in the Ben Turner Cup first round.

Freeland opened the scoring through a Joe Crocker penalty, harshly awarded after Jefferson Harriett appeared to dive in the area.

But Brough levelled from a free-kick half-time, before going on to complete his treble in the second half, when Ottis Woodward also netted.

Jack Rossiter’s hat-trick gave Eynsham a 3-1 home win over fellow Division 1 outfit Northway.

Nathan Holt fired Northway into the lead, but then Rossiter took centre stage with his triple salvo.

Premier Division side Horspath were taken to extra time at Kidlington Old Boys, before running out 4-2 winners.

Tony Skinner gave Kidlington the lead, only for Craig Pitson and a Jon Maskens penalty to turn the tie in Horspath’s favour at half-time.

Horspath looked to be going through until Daniel Burrows equalised in the last minute, but in extra time a Simon Evans strike and Maskens’s second penalty ended Old Boys’ challenge.

Yarnton fought back to win 3-1 at Watlington after extra time.

Ceri Saunders put the hosts ahead, only for Ben Davies to score 20 seconds from time.

An extra-time brace from Mark Harris sealed Yarnton’s comeback.

Joey Beauchamp’s well-placed drive in the second half gave Bletchingdon Res a 1-0 home win over Adderbury Park Res in the Clarendon Cup third round.
