Abingdon United boss Richie Bourne is looking for his side to make it three wins in a row at Paulton Rovers in Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 South & West tonight.

A draw and two victories have propelled them away from the drop-zone.

“We’ve now got seven points from our last three games,” said Bourne.

“We were four points off the bottom a few weeks ago.

“Evesham was the turning point because if we had lost that it might be different.

“Our centre-backs, Gareth Thomas and Mark James have made a real difference.”

Abingdon will be without Carl Self, while James (hamstring) faces a late test.

Banbury United give fitness tests to Jack Ashton (hamstring) and Ady Talibi for the Premier Division trip to Redditch United.

Meanwhile, Boss Edwin Stein says his side must cut out the errors.

On Saturday, they conceded four goals for the second time in a week in a 4-0 drubbing by Hitchin.

“I think all four goals were avoidable,” said Stein.

“We switched off. We need people to take responsibility.”
