BURFORD were denied top spot in Section 2 of the Shaw & Co Oxfordshire Foursomes League after a 2-1 loss at The Oxfordshire.
The defeat in Saturday's re-arranged match meant they finished half a point behind North Oxford, but both were already assured of promotion.
Victory for The Oxfordshire saw them stay up and Magnolia Park relegated.
RESULT The Oxfordshire 2 (3pts), Burford 1 (1) (The Oxfordshire first): J Archer & R Graham bt J Wilks & A Barnett 3 & 2, A Stubbs & C Hinton bt T Potter & A Purdy 5 & 4, J Cameron & T Rantle lost to D Yates & S Hopkins 3 & 1.
THE Knockout Trophy final between Studley Wood and North Oxford, due to be played at Burford on Saturday, was postponed due to frost.
