Berinsfield featherweight Tomas Rysakovas gained a unanimous points verdict over Ashford’s Jon Holt in the England Senior Novice Championships quarter-finals at Reading.
Rysakovas kept the pressure on Holt for two rounds and in the third imposed a standing count to clinch the verdict.
He now faces Jevin Taylor, of Fisher Downside, London, in the semi-finals at Hastings today.
Meanwhile, Berinsfield bantamweight Mickela Machado fights St Austell’s Vanessa Brown in the women’s Class B novices semi-finals at Ports-mouth next Saturday.
And middleweight Puja Thapar has been given a bye into the final against Bredbury & Stocksport ABC’s Stacey Copeland on December 16.
