South West 1 East
WITNEY suffered a one-point defeat for the second match running, falling 17-16 at home to Windsor.
The hosts led 10-0 in the first half, but were finally undone by a late penalty.
Witney weathered an early storm to take the lead on eight minutes, when fly half Henry Lamb’s long pass sent wing Lewis Collins sprinting over.
Lamb converted this and added a penalty, but Windsor hit back with a converted try to trail 10-7 at half-time.
A further converted try put Windsor 14-10 ahead before Lamb slotted a second penalty.
Lamb struck again to make it 16-14, but Witney could not hold on to their lead.
