Frilford Heath’s Eddie Pepperell missed the halfway cut in the South African Open yesterday after a double-bogey six at the last hole of his second round at Serengeti.
In his first tournament as a full member of the European PGA Tour, Pepperell finished on three-over-par 147 after rounds of 74 and 73 to miss the likely cut by three strokes.
When storms brought an early conclusion to the second day, former European Ryder Cup player Henrik Stenson was leading by four strokes on 13 under par.
