A ROAD in Headington is being closed for an expected three weeks from today to allow for emergency repairs to take place on a collapsed sewer.
Green Road in Headington will be closed to traffic from this morning while Thames Water engineers carry out the work to the damaged five meter deep pipe.
A temporary sewer pipe will be in place to take waste water flows that would normally be carried by the damaged pipe, and the firm said this will protect the surrounding areas from flooding.
Access to the Eastern Bypass from Green Road will not be possible, however there will be a diversion route via the A40.
