A MAN in his 40s was arrested in Oxford yesterday following an earlier shooting incident in Bristol.
Avon and Somerset Police were called to reports of a gun being discharged in the Easton area of Bristol at about 9.30pm on Thursday.
South Central Ambulance service said it was called to a “medical emergency” by police at Bury Knowle Park in Headington at 2.15pm on Friday, believed to have involved the same man.
The man was taken, under arrest, by ambulance to the nearby John Radcliffe Hospital.
Avon and Somerset Police said he had been taken to hospital after taking medication.
A police spokesman said: “Police were called to a firearms-related incident in Bristol.
“Subsequent inquiries suggested that the suspect had travelled to Oxford and yesterday officers from Thames Valley Police assisted with the arrest of the man.”
