Didcot Town manager Gary Elkins hopes to land strikers John Mills and Conor McDonagh in time to make their debuts at Bishops Cleeve tomorrow.
But he could face a battle with Evo-Stik Southern League Division 1 South & West rivals North Leigh.
Mills has scored 21 goals for the Millers, while ex-Oxford United youngster McDonagh, who has been training with the Millers, has netted 26 times for Hellenic League Witney Town.
“I spoke to Conor on Wednesday and hopefully he will accept our offer,” said Elkins.
“When I spoke to Mills he was keen. It would be great to have those two at the club.
“Their records speak for themselves and if they sign they will make their debuts on Saturday.”
Didcot will be without Lance Williams, who is awaiting tests after suffering chest pains against Winchester.
Elliott Osborne-Ricketts, Brian Bowles, Morgan Will-iams and James Clarke return.
North Leigh boss Mark Gee was philosophical about the possible  loss of the duo.
He added: “We’ve been talking to Conor, but he’ll probably end up going to Didcot.
“They have offered him a reasonable amount of money.
“I will talk to Mills, but I think we would struggle to meet what they will offer him.”
Meanwhile, Jacob Walcott is added to the squad after a spell at Oxford City, as is Ryan Brooks after injury.
Banbury United boss Edwin Stein could stick with keeper Kwame Fordah at home to Bashley in the Premier Division.
He made his debut at Cambridge City on Tuesday, but with Dean Coleman  now available, both are in contention for the keeper’s jersey.
The manager said:“Kwame was fantastic. He’s got good hands and  fast reflexes.”
Stein plans to appeal againstJack Ashton’s red card in the Cambridge game for an apparent headbutt.
He added: “Jack said their defender kicked him and stuck his forehead into his face.”
