TODAY we lift the lid on the property the city council is attempting to flog to boost the coffers.
In total, the Town Hall has £10m worth of buildings to sell, which would provide vital funds for services.
Mind you, in Oxford, that would probably get you a one bedroom flat with on-street parking.
Nobody can accuse the council of selling the family silver.
None of the homes would turn the head of Location, Location, Location producers.
But one wonders why they held onto some of them for so long?
The head of property has told us the money will be reinvested.
And, with a spiralling housing waiting list, lets hope it is into social housing.
The council’s audit of its property is welcome. But surely it would have been more prudent to have revamped the homes 10 years ago and put them to use.
