It is a special kind of sacrifice to give up your honeymoon.
But that is exactly what Karen White is doing - and all in the name of charity.
Her two-year-old son, Luke, has liver disease and is alive today thanks to the skill of medical staff.
So after marrying her partner, Tony East, on Saturday, she will say goodbye to him and Luke and set off on a bike ride from London to Paris.
The money she raises will go to the Children's Liver Disease Foundation, which has given the family so much support.
She has already raised more than £2,000 and hopes to increase that sum.
And in a further gesture, the couple have asked guests not to give them wedding presents, but to make a donation to the charity instead. That's generosity.
