CURIOUS children were 'inspired' when housebuilders visited their preschool near Abingdon.
Youngsters at Southmoor Pre-School had a surprise visit from developers at Hayfield Homes, who made a £300 donation to the preschool and talked to them about building and site safety.
The housebuilder also donated hard hats and high-visibility jackets for the children’s dressing-up box.
Preschool manager Jackie Taylor said the children were 'thrilled', adding: "We are very grateful for the kind donation, which will go towards purchasing new construction resources for the children, providing them with endless opportunities to develop hand-eye coordination, spatial reasoning, language and maths skills, problem-solving and creative, critical thinking."
Hayfield sales manager Harriet Dickson said: "Hopefully we’ve given them valuable knowledge about building sites, and maybe even inspired the next generation of housebuilder."
The developer is currently building homes nearby, on land formerly owned by Fallowfields Hotel.
