A CARE provider in Oxfordshire has formed a new charity partnership to offer financial support to present and former carers.

Bluebird Care Oxford, South & West Oxfordshire has joined with the Care Workers Charity, a non-profit organisation dedicated to providing a ‘rainy day fund’ for the UK’s more than 1.5 million care workers.

The charity aims to ensure that 'no care worker will ever face financial hardship alone'.

Director of Bluebird Care Oxford, South & West Oxfordshire, Robert Mezo, said: “We’re delighted to be working with the Care Workers Charity, who provide support for carers right across the country.

"Our staff always go beyond the call of duty to make sure the people we look after across Oxford, South & West Oxfordshire are well looked after and supported in their own homes.

"The services provided by the charity will give Bluebird care assistants an even greater reason to feel valued in the workplace.”

The organisation can award hardship grants of up to £500 to support unexpected and unforeseen circumstances including sudden unexpected illness or injury, loss of home or relationship break-downs.
