PEOPLE looking to bring 'fresh thinking' to their life or work are being invited to a series of workshops designed to help create 'positive change' in Oxford.
The Community Action Group is planning a series of the 'fresh thinking' workshops at its base in Makespace, Jericho across October and November.
Each with a different theme, the sessions are intended to bring fresh ideas, skills and discussions to community groups, social enterprises and individuals.
The group said the scheme is intended to help those who may be part of an organisation that needs some new ideas and ways of working.
It could also benefit academics who are looking for new ways to make their work more political or impactful, according to CAG.
Running across the autumn, the series will cover topics ranging from how to use social media effectively and how set up a co-operative or community business to developing the skills needed to communicate well in a team.
The series is open for anyone to participate and is intended to be a opportunity for anyone interested in creating positive change in Oxford to develop new skills, meet like minded people, and connect with a network of community groups and social enterprises.
The first workshop, looking at social media, will run from 6.30pm until 8.30pm at Makespace on Thursday, October, 4.
This will be facilitated by Monchu, a creative agency based in Oxford.
