AN Oxford drop-in centre for the homeless will be inviting back former guests as it looks to celebrate its 30th anniversary.
The Gatehouse, in Woodstock Road was founded in 1988 as a drop-in centre for Oxford’s homeless and vulnerably housed.
Since then the charity has won a Lifetime Achievement Award from Oxfordshire Community and Voluntary Action, and has seen demand for its service grow considerably.
All current and former guests, volunteers, staff and supporters are invited to the 30th Anniversary Celebration Event being held in the Kings Centre, Osney Mead, Oxford OX2 0ES from 5pm onwards on October 10.
The event will tie in with World Homeless Day.
The anniversary celebration will feature guest speakers, music, food, and nostalgia as the look back over the history of the local charity.
