A SUCCESSFUL fat-busting football league is expanding further into Oxfordshire.
Man v Fat will launch in Banbury on September 27, following the success of its two existing Oxford leagues.
The scheme allows men who want to lose weight to take part in football matches where goals are awarded for pounds lost as well as on-the-pitch success.
The games are combined with diet and lifestyle advice and weekly weigh-ins.
Many participants at the existing Oxford leagues in Harcourt Hill and Marston have managed to lose several stone, helped out by the support of team members.
Andrew Shanahan, managing director, said, "We're thrilled to offer this to men across the UK.
"We've seen that Man v Fat football can have an incredible impact on the health of our players with 95 per cent of players losing weight and 93 per cent reporting health improvements from curing sleep apnoea to huge improvements in blood pressure and joint pain."
