A SPECIAL workshop will be held in Oxford during the autumn to mark World Suicide Prevention Day.

The National Suicide Prevention Alliance (NSPA) are hosting the workshop in partnership with the Institute of Public Care (IPC) for people who have attempted suicide or experienced suicidal thoughts, and their loved ones.

The session will look at how the skills and experiences of people with lived experience can be harnessed and used to help others who may be going through the same thing.

Those taking part will have travel expenses paid, food and drink will be provided and a private space and ‘listening ear’ will provide personal support if needed.

The half-day workshop will be held in the Glasgow Room at Oxford Brookes University on Thursday, October 18 from 10.30am until 2.30pm.

Anyone interested in attending should email ipcevents@brookes.ac.uk
