STUDENTS were treated to a stunning display by Royal Air Force parachutists after getting creative to mark the Royal Air Force's centenary year.
The RAF Falcons Parachute Display Team jumped into Carterton Community College's sports pitches last Tuesday to award prizes for the RAF100 challenge.
Pupils spent the spring and summer terms creating posters, cakes and logos celebrating the landmark, while some built a bloodhound rocket car and carried out a logistical challenge.
Two pupils each in years 7, 8 and 9 won the bloodhound rocket car challenge, while pupils from Edith Moorhouse Primary School and Clanfield Primary School won the logistical challenge.
RAF Brize Nortonβs station commander, group captain Tim Jones said: βTo come to Sports day, see the Falcons drop and present the prizes was a terrific day for us and a reminder of how important our connection with the local community is.β
The winners receive a tour of RAF Brize Norton.
