A RECORD sum of cash raised at an annual fete will help to refurbish a school kitchen.
Sandhills Community Primary School in Oxford has announced the impressive £1,600 profit made at its school fete, which took place at the end of June.
The school's latest newsletter thanked the parent teacher association for organising the 'fabulous day'.
It added: "The weather was amazing, the stalls were busy, and the ice cream was most welcome in the heat.
"The PTA surpassed all expectations and made a record profit. This will go a long way to refurbishing the kitchen for the children.
"A huge thank you to all the people involved."
