AN OXFORD MP has backed a campaign which calls for gates at the Houses of Parliament to be named after a policeman killed by a terrorist last year.
Layla Moran, who represents Oxford West and Abingdon, has signed an early day motion for the Carriage Gates in Westminster to be dedicated to PC Keith Palmer, who was killed by knife-wielding terrorist Khalid Masood. Masood sought to storm the Houses of Parliament on March 22, 2017.
He was shot dead by police moments later.
The motion signed by Ms Moran has cross-party support and has been backed by another 116 MPs.
