THREE candidates will tomorrow compete to represent Carterton on West Oxfordshire District Council.

The three are vying to fill the vacant seat for the Carterton South ward left by the resignation of Michael Brennan.

Hoping to take the seat and represent the area on the district council are Labour’s Simon Adderley, the Conservative Party’s Michele Mead and Ben Lines of the Liberal Democrats.

Mr Brennan, who left the district council seat vacant, also stepped down from his seat on Carterton Town Council.

There will also be an election to fill a seat on Woodstock Town Council and there are three candidates standing.

Carterton Town Council had two vacancies that were uncontested.
