A PRIVATE girls' school has been given planning permission to build a new art school and extend its dining hall.
Headington School was given the go-ahead for the work, which will also involve temporary portacabins being taken down, but was asked for a report to ensure the proposed buildings' energy efficiency.
The Headington Road school said the new building built onto the dining hall will be about 36m long, 13.5m wide and 10m high with a parapet roof.
The East Area planning committee approved the application on Wednesday.
