ROUGH sleepers will be able to get a bed tonight after Oxford City Council activated an emergency plan with temperatures set to stay at or below freezing for three days.
The authority yesterday activated its Severe Weather Emergency Protocol so the council and other homelessness organisations will make extra bed spaces available for all rough sleepers.
A decision on whether that is activated after Sunday will be made on Monday. Rough sleepers who want to access accommodation must go to O’Hanlon House between 9pm and 9:30pm every night.
