HEADTEACHERS and school literary leaders can learn about an Oxford University Press reading and writing programme.
The Jericho-based company is running a series of open days about a scheme called ReadWrite Inc. Phonics, created by Ruth Miskin and published by OUP.
More than 60 schools across the country use the programme, which encourages teachers to champion literacy skills through means such as daily storytime for pupils.
School leaders can find out more at the Oxfordshire open day at Banbury's Hanwell Fields Community School, which has successfully used Read Write Inc. Phonics.
It takes place on Monday, March 19, with booking via oxfordprimaryevents@oup.com
