THE former F Ward at the Horton General Hospital in Banbury has been transformed into a temporary Renal Dialysis Unit.
The unit opened yesterday and replaces the six-bed Renal Dialysis Unit at the Banbury hospital which has been unavailable since the new year.
An increase in the number of inpatients has meant bed space has been used for those instead and dialysis patients have had treatment relocated to Oxford and other areas.
But those patients can now return to the Horton General Hospital for treatment after it opened yesterday.
It will be open six days a week.
