A NEW headteacher made his school debut by starring in a Strictly Come Dancing-inspired staff pantomime.
Children at The Manor Preparatory School near Abingdon were surprised at their assembly on Friday as their teachers took to the stage.
A mirror ball sparkled as the lights dimmed, marking the start of an original production called Strictly Does Pantoland - based on the BBC dance competition.
Penned by head of drama Kate Belcher and head of Year 3 and 4, Jennifer Shaw, it featured new headmaster Alastair Thomas as nasty judge 'Craig Rebel-Horrid'.
Mr Thomas, who only took post last week, said: "What an exciting way to join a school.
"It was a great example of the spirit of The Manor."
