OXFORD West and Abingdon MP Layla Moran said more must be done to tackle the problem of teachers on long-term stress leave.
In Oxfordshire, teachers officially took seven days of absence due to stress in 2015/16 – but that total soared to 69 days in 2016/17.
Ms Moran, a former teacher, said: “These figures lay bare the impossible pressures our teachers are being put under. It is simply unacceptable."
