A MAN has been charged following a robbery at a Bicester petrol station.

Paul Martyn Wyeth, aged 37 of no fixed abode, has been charged with one count of robbery and one count of possession of an offensive weapon.

It comes after the Shell Garage in London Road Bicester was robbed.

Thames Valley Police said it happened on December 31 at about 8.15pm and cash and a cash till were stolen.

The force added no staff were harmed in the incident.

Mr Wyeth appeared before Banbury Magistrates and the case was sent to Oxford Crown Court for February 2.
