A HELICOPTER from RAF Benson has spent a week in the British Virgin Islands providing relief to those affected by Hurricane Irma.
The Puma on Saturday completed a six-day stint supporting Operation Ruman by flying tonnes of aid to the worst affected areas.
Category five hurricane Irma caused catastrophic damage in Barbuda, Saint Barthélemy, Saint Martin, Anguilla, as well as the Virgin Islands.
Operation Ruman has seen hundreds of UK military personnel equipped with aid supplies leaving the UK, mostly from RAF Brize Norton, to provide immediate relief to people who have seen their homes destroyed by the hurricane.
