APPLICATIONS are now open for financial support from £1,000 to £20,000 from the Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) Resilient Communities Fund.
Communities can bid for funding to help with projects that improve their resilience in emergencies such as flooding and support local emergency plans.
A total of £285,000 is up for grabs across the region.
The fund is open to ‘constituted community groups’, not-for-profit organisations and registered charities working in the firm’s central southern England area.
The current deadline for applications is August 13.
