The Chase hosted by Bradley Walsh has been gracing our TV screens for 16 years, impressing viewers one question at a time.
Many contestants have taken away life-changing cash prizes after beating the likes of The Beast and The Governess, including Karen and and Ian who secured a jaw-dropping £100,000.
But with now six Chasers dominating the ITV game show, who are they? Let’s find out a little bit more about the UK’s ultimate quiz masters who also feature on the spin-off Beat the Chasers.

Mark Labbett - The Beast
The Beast has been part of The Chase since its first series in 2009 but before making a name for himself in the TV industry, he was a supply teacher who taught both maths and PE.
However, Mark first showed off his impressive knowledge when he first appeared on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire in April 2006.
His nickname The Beast was inspired by his surname Labbett, as La bête is French for the word beast.
Mark who “takes great pride in being the best Chaser in the world” has also starred in the Australian and American versions of the quiz show.
He most recently joined the cast of Celebs Go Dating this year, after separating from ex-girlfriend Hayley Palmer.

Shaun Wallace - The Dark Destroyer
The Dark Destroyer, along with The Beast, has also been part of The Chase from the very beginning.
Shaun is also a successful barrister turned quiz master who is now known for his iconic catchphrases: "It's just another day at the office" and "One Question Shootout".
Just like fellow panellist Mark, in 2018, he featured as a guest Chaser on the Australian version of the show for eight episodes.
Commenting on how he balances being a barrister with this TV career, Shaun previously told The Times last year: “If I've got a long trial, then that will take precedence over my filming, and The Chase know that, but I've then got to make up my other episodes later on in the series.”

Anne Hegerty - The Governess
Anne who went on Mastermind in the late 80s, was the first female quizzer to join The Chase in 2010, a year after it started.
But before this, she was a journalist, and later turned to copy editing, proofreading and ghostwriting.
Aside from her many appearances on The Chase, The Governess became a firm favourite of I’m a Celebrity fans when she arrived in the jungle back in 2018.
Anne also recently discovered she is a 19th cousin of the late Queen, while filming for ITV's DNA Journey in 2022.
In the past, The Governess has opened up about her autism diagnosis at the age of 45 and how it came as a relief.
She told The Guardian: “It kind of helped me just reframe everything. I suddenly found myself more sympathetic to others: ‘oh, I see why people expected me to do that, why that little girl said that, why my mum thought this.’”
Anne also joined Mark and Shaun on the Australian adaption of The Chase.
Paul Sinha - The Sinnerman
Paul joined The Chase as The Sinnerman in 2011 and is also a qualified doctor and comedian.
He’s no stranger to quiz shows, as he has also been on The Weakest Link, University Challenge, Are You an Egghead?, Mastermind and Brain of Britain.
The Sinnerman has also been on Countdown, Taskmaster, Would I Lie To You?, QI and Celebrity Gogglebox.
In 2019, he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. Paul told Big Issue last year: “The way I look at my Parkinson’s diagnosis is to be as positive as I can be.

“I’ve got a life to lead. I’ve got a living to make, and the more things I can do within the parameters of my illness, the better living I’ll make.”
Jenny Ryan - The Vixen
Jenny has been known as The Vixen on The Chase for 10 years, having joined her fellow Chasers in 2015.
Before then, she featured on various other quiz shows such as University Challenge, Mastermind, and Only Connect.
But prior to her on-screen career, Jenny worked as a researcher and writer on the likes of The Weakest Link and QI.
Her other talents include singing, as back in 2019, she was a contestant on X Factor: Celebrity.
Jenny landed third behind singing duo Max and Harvey and winner Megan McKenna.
Darragh Ennis – The Menace
Darragh who is also a neuroscientist, was a contestant on The Chase in 2017 who went on the programme as he “just wanted a door for my house”.
In November 2020, he became the first former contestant to join the quiz show line-up.
He told Loose Women earlier this year: “I went on because we really needed money and they just called me up afterwards, it was just so bizarre.”
Darragh said he thinks he was chosen as a Chaser because he “did really well and answered a lot of questions.”
He continued: “I’m also very calm on camera, I naturally don’t get stage fright because I think a large part of me doesn’t really care what other people think about me.

“A lot of people who would be better at quizzes than me would freeze whereas I didn’t.
“It didn’t make the edit of the show but there was a problem with one of the questions and I raised the problem with the question, while I was a contestant and I think that sort of flagged things up.”
