Hundreds of thousands of users have reported issues with Vodafone today (October 13) which appears to be having a knock-on effect on operators like Talkmobile who use the same network.
On Downdetector, a peak of around 1,000 reports had been raised at around 3.30pm to 4pm, with 81% of those were due to mobile internet.
One person, posting on X (formerly Twitter), said: "Anyone having 5g issues with #talkmobile and cannot get touch with customer service?"
Another added: "Well done Vodafone, that's broadband and mobile both down, and that effects talkmobile and voxi as well Had to use my roaming esim to come and check."
Vodafone broadband and Vodafone Mobile including its virtual providers like lebara asda voxi talkmobile seem to have major issues. Major internal bgp or core network problems?

Is Vodafone down?
A Vodafone spokesperson told Newsquest: "We are aware of a major issue on our network currently affecting broadband, 4G and 5G services.
"We appreciate our customers' patience while we work to resolve this as soon as possible."
What is Downdetector?
Downdetector is an online website that allows users of popular services including X (Twitter), Instagram, Facebook, Virgin Media and more to report if they are having trouble with the services.
The site only reports an incident when the number of problem reports is significantly higher than the typical volume for that time of day.
Describing itself on its website, Downdetector is “where people go when services don’t work.”
The website monitors disruptions to various key services including the internet, web hosting platforms, banks, social media and more.
You can see the full methodology and learn more about how Downdetector collects status information and detects problems via its website.

Problem indicators are also collected from social media and other factors on the web, Downdetector explained.
These reports are then validated and analysed in real-time.
