Love Island has dropped the first two bombshells for the latest series that starts on Monday (January 16).

The new series, taking place in South Africa, will mark the first with new host Maya Jama at the lead.

Ahead of the show's start, islanders were announced seeing a mix of football stars and an actor with a minor role in a James Bond film.

But, as always the islanders are set for a shock as bombshells enter the villa to shake things up.

In previous years, the public had to wait with the islanders to see who would make their shock entrance.

But this year has seen a new twist, as the public can vote for which bombshell will be entering first.

Love Island introduces two new bombshells

Ellie Spence

The first of the two is a 25-year-old Business Development Executive at a law firm, Ellie Spence.

The Norwich-based Islander hopes to join the villa after being "single for three years and the roster is pretty dry, it’s been dry for the last year, I don’t know what happened, it’s just not been a great time for me so I’m ready to find my husband."

Ellie describes herself as "fun, caring" and smart but says she's single because she falls "in love really quick, but I fall out of it just as quickly."

Tom Clare

23-year-old semi-Pro Footballer Tom Clare from Barnsley decided now was the time to enter the villa because it was the right time to meet someone.

He said: "It’s good going out and having a laugh but I miss sharing stuff. Life’s too short. These opportunities don’t come around often."

Questioning why he's single, Tom said: "Since my ex-girlfriend, no one’s really come to me and I’ve thought, ‘Wow’. Until I have that, I’m not really going to settle for less. Not in a bad way, but the next person I get with, I want to marry."

Voting is open now via the Love Island App and closed at 9pm on Friday, January 13.
