Love Island fans rejoice because it looks like we are getting a spin-off series with a very exciting twist.
Unlike the current and popular ITV dating series, which is now in its eighth season, the new show would see singletons in their 40s and 50s looking for love.
The Love Island bosses are set to launch the new programme which would see the more mature singles being set up by their children while on a retreat.
The news comes after ITV confirmed that they would be bringing back its Winter Love Island series after it aired for the first time in January 2020.

Love Island spin-off show - What we know so far
The working title of the new series is ‘Your Mum, My Dad’, with filming expected to begin this year.
If all goes well, we should get a release date for sometime in 2023.
A TV source said to The Sun: “Times change and the current generation in their 40s and 50s still care about how they look, are fit and healthy, into fashion and are ready to let their hair down.
“This show will give those who settled down young a second chance at love while they still feel in their prime.
“And, let’s face it, they know their minds, will be capable of intelligent conversation and are likely to be much more adventurous — all ingredients regular Love Island sometimes lacks.”

The major change follows annual calls for a more diverse Love Island cast and concern over whether the reality show's young contestants are mature enough for the experience.
Over the years, the programme has attracted criticism from leading organisations including Women's Aid and Refuge over the behaviour of the islanders.
The new show is being developed as a pilot by the minds behind Love Island - Lifted Entertainment with the hope of creating it into a full series.
