Marcus Rashford has shown off the front cover of his first children's book that will come out later this year.

Called 'The Breakfast Club Adventures: The Beast Beyond the Fence', Rashford wrote it with author Alex Falase-Koya, with it being illustrated by Marta Kissi.

Falase-Koya is known for his book Marv and the Mega Robot, with that series having been picked up by the Oxford University Press for six more titles.

In a tweet announcing the book, Rashford wrote: "Excited to reveal the cover of my first children’s fiction book ‘The Breakfast Club Adventures: The Beast Beyond the Fence’, written with Alex Falase-Koya and illustrated by Marta Kissi.

"Breakfast Club had a huge impact on my life and I wanted to be able to instil important life values through adventure based in the Breakfast Club space where I learnt a lot about myself and those around me.

"I can’t wait to see how children react to the mystery of this one."

The book will draw on Rashford’s own experiences at breakfast clubs as he has spoken of how his family relied on them and free school meals when he was growing up.

He has also previously backed a cross-party parliamentary bill to fund free breakfast provision in schools.

The book will release on May 26 this year, with pre-order being available now.
