MEMBERS of Witney Inner Wheel Club made the final payment on a Morris Traveller they had given to Witney WRVS for its meals-on-wheels service.
Club president Betty Huddleston is pictured in 1971 handing a cheque for £390 to Jack Wharton, who had supplied the vehicle.
The presentation was held at the start of a performance of the film Oliver! at the Palace cinema, Witney, arranged by Mrs Huddleston’s husband, Mr L P Huddleston, the cinema’s managing director. A group of youngsters dressed as urchins looked on.
