A WATER leak which has been going on for more than five weeks is due to be fixed tomorrow night.

Thames Water said workmen would repair the leak, on the corner of Cowley Road and Shelley Road, during the night to minimise disruption.

Tradesman Simon Kennedy, who has been working in the area, said the problem had been going on for weeks.

He said: “We’ve been working up by Cowley Road police station, and every day we walk past this to get the bus.

“It’s been there for five weeks now, maybe longer.

“It’s absolutely pumping it out.”

Thames Water spokeswoman Natalie Slater said: “This repair will require us to turn off the water to a number of properties in the area.

“We’re really sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.”
