A BARTON teenager has been jailed for more than three years for punching and kicking a 13-year-old in the head in a “nasty and prolonged” robbery.
Cameron Evans, of Stowford Road, approached the boy and his friends as they were walking through the estate on Friday, March 16.
The 18-year-old accused the group of laughing at him before punching the boy in the face and then repeatedly in the head.
He dragged his victim through an alleyway before demanding he hand over his phone, cash, and headphones. Evans then punched the victim twice more before kicking him in the head.
Finally Evans asked the boy his name and age, and when told he was 13, Evans apologised and handed back his belongings but kept £10 and ran off.
Evans was jailed for 38 months at Oxford Crown Court on Monday.
