THIS was the scene of a car crash in Oxford city centre yesterday after a driver ploughed into a bollard.
The red Fiat Punto crashed into the small post on the roadside grass near the Oxford Ice Rink where Oxpens Road meets Thames Street.
The accident, opposite the Abbey Place car park, happened at about 11am. The vehicle suffered severe damage to its bonnet and denting to the side.
Police officers attended the incident, but Thames Valley Police refused to comment on the accident as it was a damage only minor collision.
It is not known whether or not anyone was injured.
