KNTTER Rita Scrace, left, has dedicated decades of her life to charity work.
The Botley resident, who recently celebrated her 80th birthday, has spent more than 40 years and used hundreds of yards of wool knitting for various charities, including West Oxford Animal Rescue.
And at the beginning of her 81st year, Mrs Scrace said she plans to keep knitting away for many more years to come.
She said: “I don’t feel 80 in my mind, but I can’t get around like I used to. I can’t do much, I just want to knit.
“I love animals, I would do anything for animals because they can’t help themselves, and the money they make from my knitting can pay the vet bills.”
Janet Heath, from West Oxford Animal Rescue, said: “She’s been amazing.”
