DOZENS of firefighters tackled a manor house fire near Wantage.
The family at Fawler Manor, Fawler, raised the alarm shortly before 4pm after a fire broke out in the roof of the two storey building.
At its height, 80 firefighters tackled the blaze including crews from Oxfordshire and Berkshire.
Crews managed to limit the spread of the fire but a section of the roof has been destroyed.
Investigations into the cause of the blaze are on-going however it is not believed to be suspicious.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service will have crews on the scene throughout the evening, damping down and carrying out salvage work.
