A WOMAN charged with murdering her mother has appeared in court.
Kauthar Silvera appeared at both Oxford Magistrates’ Court and the city’s crown court yesterday.
The 29-year-old, of Friars Wharf, Oxford, is charged with killing 52-year-old Vittoria Baker.
Ms Baker’s body was found in her flat in Friars Wharf on Thursday.
A post mortem examination found she died of a stab wound.
Silvera appeared before magistrates yesterday morning and was transferred to the crown court for a preliminary hearing.
The defendant was remanded in custody to enter a plea on Monday, November 5. A provisional trial date of February 11 was also set.
