AN Oxford University expert has described the way the UK deals with online trolls and abusive messages as “incredibly heavy handed”.
Bernie Hogan, from the Oxford Internet Institute, part of the university, has been paying “careful attention” to Twitter and said while the UK was leading the way in cracking down on online abuse, the way in which it did so in comparison to other countries was heavy handed.
